It goes back to the whole “chop wood, carry water” idea.

It’s not sexy. You’re not going to receive applause or congratulations.

You must stoop low to the ground to enter this doorway.

It’s humbling. Uncomfortable, and yet, it’s also a relief.

A relief from all the trying-so-hard-to-be-something-and-make-you’re-life-mean-something-important bullshit.

When creating habits as a spiritual practice, you become like the bird gathering seeds, or the tree roots reaching deep into the earth to drink water.

Life begins to feel more sacred, more calm.

You’re not the prince or the princess, up in your tower, secured safely away from the toils of everyday life.

You awaken to the beauty, majesty, and awe of living a fulfilled life.

Making your bed every morning becomes a prayer. Washing dishes, writing your daily pages, moving your body, making dinner, cleaning out a drawer, deleting emails… all become prayer and reverence for this one, precious life that is worth tending to on the ground level.

From this place of earthbound reverence, everything becomes expansive. There are no more barriers between you and God.

Our egos want to make it more complicated than it is.

Don’t take the bait.

It gets to be this simple, this easy, this Alive with energy that you can’t wait to stick your hands in the soapy water, press your fingers into the keyboard, drive yourself at sunrise to the gym…

Holy. Sacred. Fulfilling.

Yes?

Transformative. Powerful. EASEFUL. Guided.

If this way of sacred living and BEing Present to your daily life through heart-led habits is calling to you, reply to this email and I’ll add you to the growing list of like-hearted souls who are already choosing this path.

It’s time for something different than what our “knowledge economy” and “ascension culture” has been selling us.

We’re all going to die soon enough. Let’s make our living here on this humble earth rock one of deepest gratitude, holy thanks, and open-hearted reverence.

It’s time to INHABIT OUR DAYS and allow our living to open us.

With all my heart,

Jessica

P.S. Here are two questions for you to meditate on, journal about, or create some art around…

  1. If you knew you were completely, 100% without-a-doubt-in-the-world taken care of (physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually), what would you do with your days? Your Life? Your time?
  2. What would you life look like if you could live the exact life you wanted without limitations?

These are some of the questions I’ve been asking myself lately, and the results have been verrryyy interesting and insightful.

Feel free to share you answers with me, or keep them to yourself as something to play with and ponder as a doorway into the desires of your deepest heart.

I WILL NOT DIE AN UNLIVED LIFE

I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.

I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.

I choose to risk my significance;
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.
