“Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard.” -Anne Sexton
MEET YOUR SOUL DOCENT:
My name is Jessica and I am a Soul Docent. As a Soul Docent I help guide others through the expansive and beautiful gallery of their own soul. Every gallery is different – composed of light and shadow, and various works of art. By offering commentary and insight into the unique aspects of the human soul, I help individuals discover their truest self and offer focused support for healing and transformation.
You are welcome to call me Jessica, but my inner child prefers you call me Jessa. For as long as I can remember I have been deeply introspective and empathetic, and I have often felt alone in my aloneness. Like most people, I’ve had to figure out how to live by keeping my eyes wide open, always looking for clues on how to live. I lost myself for many years between childhood and middle-adulthood, but it was through the call of my own soul, a good therapist, an honest friend, and stacks of books by others – who were able to put words to what she never could – that I started to find myself again. One of the wisest, most profound pieces of advice I was ever given was that I must learn to stay with myself, so I created these one-on-one sessions so you could learn to do the same.
“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the first day your life really begins.” -Bob Moawad
YOU + ME:
More than anything I want you to know you are valid, and your experiences are valid. You are seen. You are heard. You are loved. You are accepted. You are understood. You belong. You are enough. Just as you are.
As your Soul Docent I help you explore and navigate the deep workings of your inner life, facilitate acquainting you with yourself, guide you through life-changing transitions, and support you in the deep soul work required to create lasting change. I work intuitively and gently, without judgment or pretense. I enjoy leading my clients through one-on-one guided meditations and visualizations as a means of fostering healing, love, self-acceptance and joy. I also value creativity, solitude, and strict boundaries, so many of the practices I encourage stem from these three foundations.
HOW + WHY:
Soul work matters and will forever change your life. It will lead you to do more of what you love and less of what you once thought you had to do. You will learn how to listen to yourself and trust in your deep wisdom. You will no longer look to others to provide for your happiness and approve of your being-ness.
Your world will become brighter and more expansive. You will feel more alive and at peace. You will be happy deep in your soul as you learn to follow your joy and release what no longer serves you.
When you are ready to start living from who you really are it can be scary, and it can be difficult to know where to start. Soul work isn’t glamorous or easy. Much of it goes unnoticed beneath the surface. It is encouraging to have a friendly guide to help you explore the deep workings of your inner life and support you as you find your way back home to yourself.
